Hi
I have recently (within the last day) obtained some kind of virus i think. I initially had something called WinTools on my computer which i managed to get rid of, but now and i now seem to have something that:

- gives an error message on boot
"RUNDLL
An exception error occurred while trying to run ""C:\Windows\System32\ksdro.dll",UMonitor"
Although the dll file seems to be a different one upon every restart.

- An unsually high amount of popups and redirections from websites

- Slowed down the computers speed to snails pace

- I can no longer play on online games (CoD), as punkbuster kicks me for "inadequate o/s privileges" (Although i have an administrator account)

Although im not sure that the last point is to do with the same problem.
I have noticed that there are quite a few posts with very similar problems, is this something virus thats going round at th moment??

I have run AVG (although no viruses found), Adaware and Spybot S&D a number of times. I have deleted everything found, but spybot keeps coming up with 3 'redirected hosts' which it says it gets rid of, but then keep coming back. These are:

- Common Hijacker: Redirected host
search.netscape.com=69.20.16.183

- Common Hijacker: Redirected host
auto.netscape.com=69.20.16.183

- IGetNet: Redirected host
ieautosearch=69.20.16.183

I don't know how to go about fixing this, and im not very experianced at dealing with these sort of problems, can someone please help me?

Many thanks in advance.

Dan.

Ive been given instructions on how to fix it on:

http://spywarewarrior.com/viewforum.php?f=5
and
http://www.geekstogo.com/forum/index.php?showforum=37

Apparantly its VX2 Adware, and its getting quite common.
If anyone gets it, post HijackThis and FindIt log files on one of these sights, and experts will help out.
