Very strange occurance. After booting up and completing log in, the desktop and background appear normally and then the desktop Icons disappear along with the start button and the complete taskbar and all of it's Icons, Then they reappear briefly and disappear again, not to return, allowing me no way to access any features or programs. What is wrong. I can't access the registry editor and I did manage to run a good configuration feature with limited results and suprisingly, This version of XP Pro does not display the usual F2 & F12 commands on the start up screen. To get to this feature, you have to select "Alt + F2 " or Del to get to Set up and there is no valid Service Tag Number. Safe Mode is a joke. The display does not stay on long enough for me to run my Regitry cure program. Should I reset the Bio's by removing the CMOS battery? I have no Reinstall cd for this version which would give me the option to repair windows. Do you have an answer, and if so, please reply immediately to jhaskins75@comcast.net... Thank you, John...
