I am trying to delete IE on windows 2000. I just deleted the exe file but it keeps coming back. I need to make it so some computers cant get on the web. I have high speed Internet and I have 3 computers that I just want some data added on and don’t want the people that use them to get on the web. So is someone nice enough to help me out. There is no uninstalling IE in the control panel also.

You can remove IE by using add/remove programs--add/remove windows components in the control panel.

If people still have access to the Windows shell, they have the ability to turn any explorer window into Internet Explorer. To remove IE, one has to replace the shell as far as I know. A better solution would be using a router or firewalling bridge to block outgoing web requests from the three computers.
