I wouldn't! I look at it as another level of protection. Since it is part of XP there should be no conflicts or other usage problems. Have you checked your hardware firewall at the Symantec security scan site to see if it is configured correctly? Another good test site is at Sygate and of course there is "Shields Up" test at the Gibson Research site. HTH
