I'm still getting used to norton so I need a little help. How do you block ports using norton firewall?
http://securityresponse.symantec.com/avcenter/venc/data/w32.blaster.worm.html"Block access to TCP port 4444 at the firewall level, and then block the following ports, if they do not use the applications listed:
TCP Port 135, "DCOM RPC"
UDP Port 69, "TFTP"

Hi nirvana,
Are you using NPF 2002 or 2003?
In 2002 you go to Internet Access Control, click configure in the upper right corner, then choose "System-Wide Settings"
Check the current port settings but I believe Port 135 is/was already blocked for for both TCP and UDP inbound and outbound.
It's kind of self explanatory from here if you need more help just holler.
Additionally ports 135, 445 and 137-139, inclusive, should never, ever, ever be allowed to access the internet in either direction, ever, ever, ever.

Just thought I would add this to post ,If not helpful to you maybe someone else.
To Disable 135,445 and 137-139 and various other dangerous ports permanently go here has many tips on securing XP.
