I was wondering if there is away by setting permissions within windows to disable dialups from auto-dialing up. IF not any other alternatives apart from paying for software.

A dial-up connction will only auto dial if you tell it to! You can clear the auto-connect box and various settings can be made in the connection properties - options screen. Also if it is a program which is using the dial up you can also uncheck the box "allow programs to use this connection"

Thats right but not what i was asking, i was asking to set access permissions within the dial up properties so even if an auto dialer installs it wont be set to default or autostart
