Can anyone help me with a dialer problem.
My AVG has detected a 'Trojan Horse Dialer.10.BL.' virus.
It can't heal it or move it to the virus vault. I can't find any information anywhere at all on this dialer.
Can anybody tell me what it is and how to remove it please.

sure avg has a neat test results for viruses that cant be removed or moved to vault...so do these steps.

1.open avg and click on results, then test results find latest test results and click details....this will give u the path and filename of infection...

2. did u make rescue disk.....u should as haveing these disk will clean any running infection that starts up with windows...so u might want to make them...insert 1 disk in drive go to my computer icon on desktop..see drive a: right click on it and select format..then checkbox creat ms-dos disk, now go back to avg and select create rescue disk
under service....it takes 3 1.44mb floppys ..once done restart computer with disk1 in drive and avg will do the rest.

either step will work..but if u still need help just repost.............but before u do..on test results post me the pathway of the infected file so i can tell u how to manually remove it...examples(c:\windows\system32\virus.rar)

I've also suddenly found this annoying thing on my laptop (XP 32 bit).

I run AVG and follow the path, find the file and delete it. When I run AVG again, the dialer has re-appeared in a different guise.

System restore will fail when trying to get rid of it by this method.

Paths so far:

C:\WINDOWS\DOWNLO~1\1025966.exe

C:\System Volume Information\_restore{B13AF725-4B97-43CE-A648-93B8B6CAC604}\RP69\A0033811.exe

C:\RECYCLER\S-1-5-21-682003330-1343024091-2091775795-1004\DC4.exe

Seems to be something new?

hitch:

first turn off your system restore as the dialer has copied itself there...clean your temp files both internet and windows temp files...

also make a rescue disk to save this trouble look above for instructions.

any question just post.
goodluck
