desperate & begging..fake security center

Specs: Windows Vista Home Premium
It appears that I'm getting "fake alerts" from the windows security center. There are four main features of this windows center. Defender and firewall are turned off and can not be turned on. This seems to be the beginning of the present ongoing problem. From my homepage;iGoogle, and also my default, I lanch the browser, It is internet explorer and it will take me to the list of sites as normal. When the elected site is chosen and I click, it redirects me back to either my homepage, a Google survey, a fb-survey, an advertisment, a dating service, etc but not to the wanted site. I realize this is a forum of perhaps advanced computer people and I thank all for your contributions to this question. In closing, although not a neophyte I am at a disadvantage in the technical arena. Many thankyou',,,DES
p.s. I was able to get to this site by bookmarking the example page, and then lauching from
bookmarks. This can work but not always
