Comment:

Whenever I access Explorer, several unwanted icons are added to my desktop and are also placed in "My Favorites". I've run Norton, Counter Spy, Ad-Aware and Spybot with unsuccessful results.
Any suggestions on how to get rid of this nuisance???

You could try Ewido.
Or Trend Micro's online scanner "House Call".

Do you mean Windows Explorer or Internet Explorer? Any file names for icons?
