Deleting Purity Scan)

Hello 2 all

Lavasoft Ad-aware will not detect Purity Scan.... what a pain in the eye!
Purity Scan will hold up your shutdown while it collects your user info etc.etc.
Log onto another account with administrator rights (it will not let you delete it from within the account that has it)

Open - My computer > Local Disc(C:)

> Documents And Settings

> The account with the "Purity Scan
Friggin Trojan Spyware"

> Start Menu > Programs

> Startup (Delelte WINSERVS file)

Go back to the account file and

Open - Local Settings

> Temp Files (Look for any file with the words scan/trace in the name and delete, also hover mouse pointer over any other temp files that you may suspect to see the date and -or not- expose further trojan spy-ware)
Example: .plugin140_01.trace

(the hunt continues)

> Local Disc(C:) > Windows > Prefetch File
(Delete WINSERVS.exe PF File)

Open - System 32 In Windows(Look for more purity/scan/trace files and delete)

Phew!

Salute!

Hello,
I detected a plugin140_01.trace file in my c:/win98/ folder. should i delete this file? is it a trojan file?
I recently scanned my computer with norton Antivirus and it detected an js.exception.exploit virus.

Thanks, Moon
