My Anitvir software recently found a virus. I thought it was deleted, but evertime I restart my computer, Antivir gives me the following messege: "C:\GDE.exe contains signature of the Java script virus JS/Dldr.Agen2". It gives me options to delete, but that does not work since the same messege appears the next time my computer is restarted. Any ideas how to delete this for good?

try going into safe mode, scan again, empty temp folder as well, check registry regedit -search and delete file , and msconfig in startup and disable

Try running the scan in Safe-Mode, and disabling System Restore. Instructions for both can be found on my homepage(above) under the tips link. If that doesn't work, try running an online scan:

Thanks for the response. Well, I scanned with Ad-aware and Antivir, and I searched for the GDE.exe in safe mode and it did not find anything. I also looked in the regisrty and did not find anything. When I restart my computer Antivir still gives me the same message about GDE.exe.
Another problem popped-up as well, before I ran the computer in Safe mode. Before I was able to solve the first problem, my computer was bombarded with 2 trogans (while typing an email at hotmail). Suddenly a 0Cat (zero cat) toolbar showed up in explorer and my home page was hijacked. Running my computer in safe mode and scanning with ad-aware did not solve this problem either. I ran the hijack software, but I need help with determining what I need and what I don't. I now have a GDE.exe virus message and a hijacked homepage. Please help.
