Deleting a virus from the vault

I have AVG. In the vault are a couple of Klez-h viruses[spelling?] When I highlight one and hit the delete button, a window comes up and asks if I really want to remove the file from the Virus Vault. Is that what I am supposed to do to get it out of the vault? Will that delete the virus? I know this is a stupid question, but the way that that window is worded, it almost sounds like it's asking me if I want to put it back into the email. I assume that answering yes will delete it, but thought that I would check with the Guru's first. Thanks, Gill

If the virus was picked up by AVG email checker I see no reason why you shouldn't just delete it. It won't have done anything because it never ran.
When a virus has been run (and therefore got itself into the system) this can be a different matter. Sometimes it can infect a valid system file, so just deleting it could cause problems.
