Delete temp rar files ?

Specs: Windows 7 x64, Intel Quad/8GB
I have 70-80 Direct X temporary rar files in Documents...can I safely delete ?

I doubt anyone will want to put their hand on their heart and say its OK to delete anything LOL.

However, rar's are compressed files (as you probably know) and as they are temporary and in Documents, IMHO it should be OK to delete them. Most likely they were for setting up and they have done their job.

Safest bet is to bin them and leave them there for a few days to make sure all is OK. That way they can always be restored. Type dxdiag in the run box and check that DirectX works fully before and after you bin them, which will raise your confidence that they are doing nothing.
