Reply: (edit)Deleting a file that is a virus wont just stop it from working. when a virus is ran it makes changes to your computer and if that file was found in the windows folder or in the systems folder it is in use my the computer so you cant just delete it. do this, go to start, run, msconfig, and click on the startup tab. if you see startnow.exe is in there, just uncheck it and apply it and restart your computer then it would be safe to remove. if you do see that startnow.exe is a virus can you email it to me? i have a group here: www.geocities.com/osp1keo/glitch/index.htm and we collect virus info and get removal information to put in it. you can email me or msg me on aim and we can talk about it there. my contact info is found on my page in the contact me section. hope this helped.

Reply: (edit)Run and copy/paste the results of StartUpLog file to a reply. Ignore the stubpaths.txt file. You can obtain StartUpLog here: http://home.earthlink.net/~rmbox/Reticulated/Toys.html There is also a W98 EXE fix available at the above website.
