I recently manually removed a replicating program from my PC. I now have it on a disk, with a record of what it does, which registry keys, what files it uses and how, but I am unsure of whether or not it has been seen before.
It may have been a trojan, considering it rand a connection through port 3757. At any rate, I want to see that this is included in some of the automatic scan programs, so that people who cannot remove it manually like myself can deal with it.
In my searches I haven't found any known trojan to run through 3757. How would I make sure this gets recognised, and has it been identified yet?

Try this wonderful program to find et eradicate trojans virus, as well as to restore alone a computer corrupted or dammaged :
TrojanRemover 4.80
to download at http://www.simplysup.com
freeware for a month, then you need a license to have an unlimited updates of trojans signatures

There are two ways to submit a possibly infected file to Symantec Security Response:
Through the Internet
If you have NAV version 5 or later, then use the Scan and Deliver feature, unless you have been instructed otherwise by a Symantec technician. For more information on this feature, see the document How to submit a file to Symantec Security Response using Scan and Deliver. If your NAV version is earlier than 5, or for any reason you are unable to use Scan and Deliver with later AntiVirus versions, then follow these steps:
1. Download the attached Sarcret.exe file to a location on your hard drive, such as your Windows desktop.
2. Double-click Sarcret.exe. The Symantec Security Response Submission Applet appears.
3. Open Windows Explorer.
4. Locate the file that you want to submit to Symantec Security Response, and then drag and drop it into the Applet window.
5. Click Submit, and then follow the on-screen prompts. There is no charge for this service, and, in most cases, you will receive an email response within one hour.
On a floppy disk
If you do not have access to the Internet or email, or you suspect that you have a boot sector virus, then you must submit the sample on a floppy disk.NOTE: Please be aware that this can take two weeks or longer. Please follow the steps below:
1. Download the attached Submit.txt and PCInstru.txt files to a location on your hard drive, such as your Windows desktop.
2. Fill in the information requested in the Submit.txt file, and then print it. All submissions must include a completed, printed copy of this form.
3. Follow the instructions in the PCInstru.txt file to create the virus sample on a floppy disk.NOTE: All media and files submitted to Symantec Security Response will become the property of Symantec. They will not be returned. Be sure to submit copies of the suspect files or disks.
