Dedicated Firewall and XP Pro

Looking to setup a Pentium 2 system as a dedicated hardware-based firewall on a small home network with 3 pc's. Any suggestions on the best software to use for this for the P2?
Thinking about one of the various Linux firewalls, but unsure of compatibility with the XP Pro's on my home pc's...

Using a linux based firewall with windows should not be a problem. The main problem is networking the two computers up but most of the newer distros (from the last 3 years or so) should pick up the network straight away. Ipchains is a good firewall system for linux

I prefer OpenBSD for firewalls. Like Linux, it's free and UNIX-like, but the primary focus of OpenBSD is security. The documentation is excellent, too, with"FAQs" that are really more like step-by-step guides.

smoothwall is nice and easy, but openBSD is better (pf rules are fun to write tho)
