My process viewer is constantly showing me DDHELP.exe, once I kill it off it comes back within 5 minutes. I've looked on google.com and found that it assists DirectX or Direct Draw or something, but nothing I read applies to what I'm doing on my computer.
I've read errors people have received from DDHELP and I had not received any errors about it until a few minutes ago. I can't remember the error exactly but it caused an error in a dll it was using.Yes, I have scanned for a virus.
Yes, my virus files are completely up to date.
Yes, I have used outsourced virus scanning (Norton online, housecall).
Yes, I have Spybot, and Adware, Swat It, Anti-KeyLogger, you name it - I've got it, and I've run it.
Yes, I have a desktop firewall.So. Nothing seems really odd, but what exactly is DDHELP and why in the world could it be contuinuously launching itself? I don't see it in the list when I alt+ctrl+delete, I can only see it in my process viewer looking for hidden programs and windows.

DDHELP.exe is used by several different programs in Windows ME. Such as the HELP function, System Information tool and some of the PCHealth functions come to mind. Normally it does it thing and exits. But there is a Micro$oft documented issue with it NOT exiting memory when done on some systems. It sticks around on mine. No fix.
Would recommend you use MSCONFIG - Startup tab to remove the PCHealth function from startup and then delete the PCHealth icon from the Scheduled Tasks (in system tools) window. This will remove one (useless) source of the module loading in the back ground.
