Solved Dangerous rootkits on corrupted Program File sections

April 26, 2012 at 10:26:21
Specs: Windows 7
ntkmlpa.exe{PAGE}NtQueryInformationProcess+0x1C29 , size 4bytes
ntkmlpa.exe{PAGE}NtOpenThreadTokenEx-0x3DE , size 4bytes
The above corrupted sections were found by AVG rootkit scan and were both hidden and inaccessible. I tried different scans unsuccessfully. Help!

This thread is from the avg forum, it looks like this may be a critical file, thus avg doesn't want to have you remove it.

can you run a gmer scan?

✔ Best Answer
I know that Norton and McAfee conflicts, so I uninstalled AVAST, restart and ran AVG rootkit - GONE! They must be part of AVAST's NT Kernel & System for Windows? I'm not in programming, so perhaps someone can enlighten me.

Thats certainly possible, but as mentioned, I think that it is a corrupted file. :-) Glad that you were able to make things work.
