Hi Guys,
I have numerous other postings about this problem but basically from what you guys are telling me someone is e-mail spoofing me or I have a worm/trojan (W32 magistr.24876@mm). The most baffling part for me is that I have now scanned my system comprehensively with just about every known AV software known to man and found nothing. Even reformatted & reinstalled. Still have virused e-mails bounced back at me that I have not intentionally sent. Please! someone! I am no mental giant in this field, I need help before all my hair falls out:) I play games online is it possible for someone to have perpetrated this act on me through my connection to a game?

only way to make sure it's really from you is to check the e-mail header (don't open the attachment...it most likely has a virus).
it's probably e-mail spoofing you though. an acquaintance of yours is probably the culprit

Um, How do you know the e-mail was virused?? Because somebody else who don't know too much about computers blamed you?? I had people blame me about viruses before, that I never sent. Sometimes people just panic and blame everything in sight until some nice guy says, "it's my fault".
Another thing is when you reformat your Harddisk, do you just slap back on the virused mails from a back up or redownload the same virused mails from the server right back onto your harddisk after the reformat?? If so you are defeating the purpose of the reformat, get rid of the mails first.
P.S. Virus scanners are by no means fool proof. They can only detect KNOWN viruses, if I wrote a virus today and sent it to you, NO virus scanner would be able to tell if it was a virus or not.
If all esle fails simply change your e-maill address.

Thanks guys.. DYS, I know the e-mails were virused because some were bounced by my ISP postmaster as they contained viruses and lots of different companies mail scans detected viruses and refused to accept them. I have sent nothing to these companies/people. The e-mails I do send to friends go through fine with no viruses.
P.S. I have just downloaded yet another AV program(BitDefender) and it found 1 trojan "JS.trojan.noclose.B". I have deleted it. Could it be responsible for my problems do you think?

i think noclose is the one where like u can't close internet explore sites, suggestion: if that is the virus stop visiting porn or casino sites..i mean...the library is always opened :P!

PhilipJD thanks for your advice but I dont visit porn sites they visit me! They pop up every where you look :)

Phil, try this SpyBot- search and destroy.
Get rid of your spyware!

Thanks Norm, I have Spybot-search and destroy. Funny thing is I have Kazaa lite which is supposed to have no advertising but I still get a few popping up from time to time. Adaware, spybot etc... find nothing.
