I have a computer at my school, whose mouse cursor is jumping all over the place. I am sure the easiest thing is to wipe the system as I cannot control the mouse at times, but I would like to solve this so I don't keep wiping systems.
I ran Ad-aware and the problem seemed to stop but when I exited the program it started again.
Does anyone have a solution for this?
Is it a Virus?HELP!

I too had the same problem on one of my comp, got a Klez virus removel tool from http://securityresponse.symantec.com/avcenter/venc/data/w32.klez.removal.tool.html and that fixed the problem.Make sure u run this tool in safe mode.

Why do you think it is a virus? Did your AV detect a virus? There are other possibilities, especially since this is a computer at school. There is a prank program called Mouse Move that could cause this.
Mouse Move is a hidden computer prank that move the users mouse cursor to random positions on the screen. Imagine trying to send an email to someone and your mouse cursor kept on moving to the left and up, that would freak you out! With the command line option of 'setup' you can configure a variety of options for Mouse Move within one easy to use interface. You can specify the interval of time between each move, the amount of space to move the cursor and in which direction. By default Mouse Move starts hidden, with no user interface, that way it is great for emailing to your friends! Mouse Move is free and ready for you to download.
To close simply move your mouse cursor to the TOP LEFT corner of the screen. A splash screen will be displayed letting you know the program was closed.
It is also possible that the mouse is dirty and needs to be cleaned. Take the ball out and remove all of the dust and lint and stuff.
