I have 2 computers, 1 installed with Windows XP and the other with ME. Recently I discovered that both computers seem to have similar problem. The cursor sometimes will just moves by itself to the left. And for the one installed with ME and not connected to the Internet at all, the cursor will sometimes stop at one of the cells of an Excel file and starts deleting the content to the right.
Could it be virus or hardware problem?

I discovered yet another strange thing about the XP computer (the one with its mouse moving to the left only; not the one that is not connected to the Internet and moves the cursor to a Excel cell). We had Norton Antivirus on it initially. One day, its update file got corrupted, and we tried reinstalling it but failed. So we tried Trend Micro PC-Cillin instead, but also failed. We disconnected the Internet Connection and tried installing it again, and it finally succeed. So now, it's installed with PC-Cillin. But just now, it pops up with an error message prompting us to reinstall PC-Cillin. And when we clicked the Scan for Spyware button, it system automatically asked us to send an error report.
This could be another problem that is not related to the previous.

I'm having similar trouble with the mouse cursor moving to the left (and up) on xp home. It started around the sp2 upgrade time, i've been trying to fix it ever since. I recently wiped my c drive and reinstalled windows xp again and it was fine, then i downloaded and installed the first set of updates and then the cursor started moving again. I've been told it might be a graphics card related problem, but i tried changing mine to no avail. any help would be greatly appreciated.
