I've just been looking in the registry at:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft
\Windows\CurrentVersion\ElectronicCommerce\Userinfo

There I find such information as name, address, email addy and phone number. I've googled around but not ended up being sure what this is about. The format looks like some sort of online registration.

Does anyone know what this info might be for please? Maybe there is a W98SE user still out there (LOL) who could check to see if they have similar entries.

I could just remove it but as it looks like some sort of sign-up info it might prevent online trading or even Updates.

Thanks

Thanks murve. I'm gonna export it, save it somewhere then delete the entry. If it matters I'll soon find out.

Thx jabuck. I suspect it's where I've registered something or other. I've got shot of it. If anything doesn't work out I can always put it back again.
