I have a major problem, during a virus scan i found trojans and deleted them, but they keep re-appearing in the folder C:\System Volume\_restore folder. But no matter what i do, such as show hidden files and folders and even search for the infected file in that folder it can't find it. I'm stuck because i don't know where to find this folder, i can't even find it in ms-dos mode. Can anyone please help me out, because there are a whole bunch of programs and files in that folder and i don't even know what they are doing there.

XP does not allow any program to alter the System Restore files for obvious reasons although they can harbour malware. Disable System Restore, reboot, this will delete all your Restore point files. Now run your updated AV, and any other maintenance progs like AdAware, SpyBot S&D, CWShredder. re-enable System Restore.
