Hi I'm having problems with CoolWWWSearch. Its taken over my laptop. Spybot says that it has fixed the problem but I run spybot again and it finds the same thing again! Eveytime I try to go on the internet it takes me to a strange search engine. If I overtype the website address ("about:blank") it will go to the website I've typed but then goes straight back to the search engine again. I'm not sure how I can download suggested fixes as I cant get on the internet on my laptop (I'm using a work pc at the mo). I've tried everything I can think of and even had it looked at by a computer shop manager to no avail. Please help me, its driving me crazy!

Download CoolWebSearch removal tool from here: http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/files/spyware/delcwssk.zip Extract it to c:\smartkiller. Then navigate to that directory and double-click on the file named miniremoval_coolwebsearch_smartkiller.exe to run the program. If it finds this particular CoolWebSearch variant it will remove it from your system. Good Luck! Forza Juventus

Ok so Spybot found CoolWWWsearch on my system but could not remove it. I used the CoolWebSearch removal tool, but it did not find CoolWWWsearch. What shall I do now? Any suggestions? Oh, btw, I could not get my Symantec spyware to update (due to this crap) and I could not get to the Symantec site, but I was able to get to the Symantec.com.au site where I was able to download the new virus deffinition files. Not as good of an option, but it'll have to do until I can get rid of this nasty bug. Please help me out if you can. Thanks!
