I just did a spyware scan on my computer and it shows that I have Coolwebsearch. I haven't had any problems with this so I'm guessing it hasn't been activated or whatever and it hasn't made any changes to the registry. The file is currently in the 'downloaded programs folder' as 1D0D9077-3798-49BB-9058-393499174D5D. Can I just remove it from there or should I just let x-cleaner (freeware) take care of it? I'd prefer to remove it manually if that's safe but I can't find any info on that.

G'day,
As many stalwarts of this this forum will atest to, CoolWebsearch can be a tricky little bu@@er to get rid of. I suggest you look down the page to a post by abnormal (before it falls off) tilted CWShredder(TM) Version2, and then download yourself a copy of this very good application. regards, Elric

Summary: A "Network System" is a pretty broad term. How about specifics? Also, you can't run XPBackup on a 98 OS. Is this a homework question bac? Life is more painless for those who are brainless....
