Comment:

I have SP2 and am up to date with all the Security Patches

I have just been to a reputable Site ( www.tudogs.com) which I often go to and clicked on a particular Link to go to another Page on the same Site

Without warning Cool Web Search loaded itself onto my Computer

I was able to get rid of it with Adaware and then ran CW Shredder to make sure

All is now well - but I am wondering how it was able to Download itself.....

...is there some Security Setting on my IE that I should look at ?

Thanks

Site is full of wyciswyg cws, but only on some openings. Very suspicious. Saved by Firefox and all the other crap I have to run to surf. Bet they don't know about it.
