Some time ago I used Mailwasher. Big mistake I think. Spam jumped from around 70 a day to 400 a day.
Anyway, the latest thing is someone is sending out bulk email on my behalf and I get loads of them returned to me as undeliverable.
One I noticed, has the following in it:
Your message to:
-> xxx@xxx.com (xxx's replacing users id)
was considered unsolicited bulk e-mail (UBE).
Subject: Re: Hello there!
Delivery of the email was stopped!

My question is, what software does this? I have noticed that some spam does seem to have regular and genuine unsubscribe id's and have been tempted to reply to try and get off their mailing lists.
Maybe the software that does the above is worth a go.
I do use NAV 2004 and it does do a pretty good job of intercepting most of it, but it would be good to cut down on it.

Have you done a virus scan?

Also, check the originating IP of those emails to find out if they are indeed coming from your system.

I had a few come in saying undeliverable but they are just virus generated files from somewhere else. Don't open any attachments that come with them!

Oh and get a spam filter :-)

KrOnK, how do you determine the address of the ORIGINATING email. I would be very interested to know, as would a lot of others here. To my knowledge there is no SURE way of knowing the origin of any email (but I could be wrong)
