Good evening,
I am running Win95a on an aging Packard Bell 4610 Legend, Pentium, 120 MHz/72 RAM and I have a dial up connection with a local ISP in my area.
As part of my security package I am running Sygate 5.6 Free Personal Firewall. Keeping this in mind I have a question about the opening page of the 'Shield's Ups' Test' pages.
Once I go to the opening page and read what they are going to try to do to my security system I scroll down and there is a spinning globe next to a paragraph saying how my personal information could be going to the internet right now. It never shows any of mine which I take is a good thing.
However, my question is this, most of the time it will then say that " ... Your Internet Connection has no Reverse DNS ..." and it goes on to say that this is a good thing.
But, every once in awhile when I go to this section it will show a Reverse DNS. What causes this Reverse DNS to appear every once in awhile and is there something I can do to stop it?
Thanks and regards,
Phil

Morning,
After much digging I came up with some good and useful information from another forum about 'reverse DNS'.
Here it is in case any one else is curious: Reverse DNS Information
Have a great day!
Regards,
Phil
