I just wanted to let everyone at the forum know that the long wait at startup has been fixed. I want to compliment the staff at Zone Labs for listening to their users, and for fixing the Zone Alarm Pro 3.0 with version 3.025. Their efforts are appreciated. They should know how good the new version works. All the best!

Is it necessary to uninstall version 3.0 prior to installing the new one?

Suzi, yes you have to uninstall the old version. I recommend you first, use your preferences and check for the update in ZA. This will take you to the update site. Then download the update. Then uninstall the old version, and then reinstall the new one. If you try to do an install of the new version with the old version installed, you will receive a warning that the old program has been detected and must be uninstalled. Take care!

I have read the instruction before for uninstalling and they seemed very cumbersome and very complicated. I will go back and read them again, but it seems like there were intructions that I didn't understand. That's why I am hesitant to do it.
Any suggestions to make it less intimidating? It was all the vector stuff that seemed complicated.
