hey,
ive just got my second peice of computing coursework, and it is to create a virus(preferably, not dangerous to important systems!) and then create the "antidote" to it!
the virus is to replicate its self in non-important folders, tho if this is not possible, then it is to have no damaging effects!
could someone please help me?which program should i use?
is there some where i can get codes for?thnx!
bildo

LOL, are you sure this is coursework?
Not on a sabotage mission I hope. :-D
Besides why would you want to use someone elses code? Wouldn't you have to explain how the virus was written? A macros "virus" might be what you're looking for?

lol
id like some examples of code, not the virus its self! comp techs would have a field day if they found a real one on my account! they've seperated my classes accounts to a seperate server! and have made every precaution to prevent an out-break! lol, cant sneeze with out them thinking were trying to contaminate the system! lol
bildo

Hehe, sounds quite fun tbh.
You might want to speak with these guys, although they seem quite reluctant to post any source codes due to "homeland security" labelling them as terrorists.. LOL!Computer Virus Source Code forum

I find it hard to believe that a computer training course would teach its students to write a virus. There are far more useful programming projects that could be used.
Besides, writing a antidote to a virus you have written yourself is almost too easy. Writing an antidote to someone elses virus is the tricky bit.

A lot of virii are written in Visual Basic; I don't understand - if you are taking this course at college and this is part of your course, why doesn't the instructor teach you the basics of what to use and how to use it, if this is homework?? Why do you have to post around to find out how to do it? After all, you paid for this instruction, right?
Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day;
Teach a man to fish and you feed him for a lifetime;
Then industry pollutes the water and kills all the fish.

I for one would like to know if this is legitimate or not before posting any answer to this question
So Bildo just WHAT course are you taking that requires you to write a virus,(and the Antidote)and WHERE (college, University) are you taking it?
If any advice helps, please post back as it might help others.

Well hate to say this, but it might just be legal since Canada is offering such courses.

That's not the point. Any instructor in any formal course first teaches his students how to use the tools they need, and then assigns practice projects based on using those tools in the way he instructed.
Why is Bildo posting around to find out how to do it? That's supposed to be what he is paying the instructor for, right?

Bildo, please excuse my opinion if I'm wrong but.......
You are talking crap!!
You say your second piece of course work?? what was your first, how to build an Atom bomb?
In England you will go to jail for 2 years if you release a virus onto the Internet!!

We will have a better clue when (or if) we get a response from Bildo to #6. A stony silence would tell all...

sorry, half-term! im majoring in astrophysics and my minor is in computer programming. i aim to write a programme to map the space we have charted, but that will be a while away! thnx to all thos that helped!
bildo

p.s for all those jerks out there, if i where planing to use it illegally, do u honestly think i would be stupid enough to ask a public forum( understanding that u have to have some IQ above that of a lettice!)
bildo

In answer to your question bildo, yes, I would. I am past being surprised as to what people are stupid enough to do.
I would have though that someone majoring in astrophysics would have first learnt to write and spell properly. Unless of course it is they that have the IQ of a lettuce!
Stuart

Bildo I think this is the best site on the web for those seeking genuine help and support, there is a whole forum for people with virus and security troubles,so do you not think we should be suspisious when somebody asks how to write a virus, whatever there motives.
I find it even more funny that the people you seek help from according to you have the IQ of a Lettuce, and being suspicious makes them jerks.
I'm sorry Bilbo but for all my reasoning of your request
(Jerk with the IQ of a Lettuce)
It has to be deniedI dont ususlly stoop this low but after your remarks I have to agree with michael2 You are talking crap!!
If any advice helps, please post back as it might help others.
