Computer won't log in properly + windows alwa

Specs: Windows 7, 3 GB
Hi everyone,

Yesterday I got a BSoD, my first one ever. My computer was Windows 7 and I suspected something wrong with it, so I ran a scan using Malwarebytes Anti malware. It didn't find much, and something on my computer didnt seem right, so I downloaded AVG Free and ran another scan. It never finished.

My computer was really slow, and task manager wasnt working, so I ran process Explorer off my USB and saw a bunch of weird processes. IE. PnkBstrA.exe, PnkBstrB.exe (weird because I dont play any online games), HDovya.exe, Hdb.exe (?). As I tried to kill them, everything went not responding and I was forced to restart using the power button.

This time, it got stuck for a long time on the welcome screen and even after I logged in, the monitor just displayed a black screen with the white pointer. No wallpaper, no nothing.

I booted up in safe mode, ran AVG from there, but BSoD'ed again (!). The next time I restarted everything was about normal. AVG popped up upon startup with a notification and I moved it to the Vault, thinking that I had won.

Today, everything was normal again, but i kept getting weird popups everytime i surfed the web. but i thought it was nothing. Finally, it culminated in everything Not Responding again, had to restart, stuck @ Welcome Screen, black screen upon login, blah.

When I tried to boot from USB, (ubuntu), it wouldnt load (sigh).

Please help me with this. I was writing a report and was 70% done until this happened. Last time I f*cked up while combating a virus and lost my job over it.

PS. I originally thought my PC was overheating, so I opened the tower to let it cool. I also accidentally breathed in some of the fumes and now my throat hurts. Any help on this too?

PPS. On Process Explorer, there is a svchost.exe always hogging the CPU. I know it's a host process, but I thought it was related to AVG, and now I think it may be part of the problem.
