scgma January 13, 2011 at 12:10:47 Specs: Windows Vista
Don't know what changed but get msg cannot access specified device, etc....or you may not have permissions... Don't need permissions. I'm it. Changed all security to default levels. No help. Have WIN Vista.
Go to Internet Options, click on Trusted Zone & tell us if anything is listed there.
Right click on the executable and choose "Properties" and look to the bottom of the "General" tab. Here you should find an "Unblock" button provided to allow normal access to the executable. http://helpdeskgeek.com/help-desk/w...
JohnW: Thanks for specific instructions. Sorry for delay - illness. 1) Items in Trusted are all Microsoft items, plus Intuit and Google. Enable protected mode is unchecked in Trusted zone but checked in Internet zone. (Is that a problem?) There is a check re requiring server verification sites in trusted zone. 2) There is no "executable" on my General tab, so can't rt click on properties there and no "unblock." Computer continues to block both downloading and installation. Any further suggestions?
