Hey guys,
I've got a problem where my computer restarts when I start a video. It doesn't matter what kind of video file or what player I use to play the video, once it loads my computer restarts itself. I've gotten the newest drivers for my card (figuring its not a software error in the players) and nothing happened. I've updated and ran all of my anti-virus programs and still nothing. I've been working on it for a couple of days now... any ideas? thanks
Ted

I got this on one of my posts from chuck2
Right click My Computer,
Properties,
Advanced tab,
Settings button (Starup and Recovery),
uncheck Automatically Restart.

Now you should get an error message when it happens again and you can see what is causing the shutdown.

Hopefully my advice will help you...Please post back with your results....thanks

okay... I checked out the sfc/scannow.. which for some reason didnt work at all... so then i went and messed with some drivers and programs i have relating to my video card. Theres a new "Catalyst" driver for ATI cards... and that seems to have been thr problem... I rolled back the driver and all was okay. thanks guys
