Comment: I have an odd problem which i cant solve. The thing is this. I have a Pentium 4 with 3GHz and i installed Windows XP SP2 on it. First 3 months everything was ok, but after that the problems started showing. It was giving me some start errors like C:\windows\system32\config\system file is corrupt and the windows cant start. After that some other system32 files were corrupt. Something in the bios was changed so i needed to restore it to default and so on. I changed the hard drive, power supply and RAM memory and the problem is still there... How can i fix this? Thnx in advance!

Reply: (edit)This sounds like a flaky hard disk. Boot to recovery console from your XP cd, then run chkdsk /p I would guess this problem should be posted in XP? Did you try to fix this and get directed here? If so, what was the thread so we can reference it. Good luck, J. j e r u v y a t y a h o o d o t c o m

Reply: (edit)Just a comment; These Forums are to help with "Computer Problems." In future, you may want to set your subject as the specific issue and not just "Computer Problem." What did you change in the BIOS? Life's more painless for the brainless.
