everytime i start up theres a new file that it asks my firewall to allow....just random junk like 4asdlk39.exe. if i restart again it'll ask me to allow a different file and say theres a missing shortcut to the ones it asked for in earlier bootups....if u can understand what i just said. anyway i cant find any spyware that could be doing it and i cant find a virus....just wondering whats causing it cause its annoying me....

hi chris,
you may have a trojan or some form of malware.
go to www.thepublicworks.com security section and link to pc flank and do their port and trojan test if you have any trojans link to Ants and download A Squared get new defs and scan your machine. also while at the publicworks, download free RegProt, from link Sysinternals download free Process Explorer, and port monitor.
there's something starting up, so you should check by hitting your start button, then run, then type in msconfig, check your startup tab, to see what is starting up, win ini tab (windows directory), if anything is running and loading run and load should equal blank, and sys ini tab(boot directory) to check shell, shell should equal explorer.exe and nothing else.
also in internet explorer go to tools, internet options, delete cookies, delete files and check offline box, delete history, go to settings and click on view objects, from there right click on entries and click on properties to see if you have any hijackers downloaded (do this by googling entries) if found remove them.
then follow the crazy one's advice and do other scans (adaware, spybot etc.)
hope this helps,
murve
