Specs: Microsoft Windows XP Professional, 2.188 GHz / 1534 MB
I share a computer with my brother and he always visits risky websites. Just like 2 hours ago after he had used it, I got a message that I had to use anti-spyware tools, because my computer was infected. Obviously it was a virus. Nonetheless, I didn't bother to run AVG, but I ran ComboFix. This is what I have been doing to delete many worms. This time ComboFix told me that it had to reboot my computer and to write down these files:

C:WINDOWS/system32/drivers/kungsfwovcritf.sys
C:WINDOWS/system32/kungsfbubjybrq.dat
C:WINDOWS/system32/kungsfdyrjymki.dll
C:WINDOWS/system32/kungsfgrfsgjfj.dll
C:WINDOWS/system32/kungsfoeeqlxdd.dat

Now I try to login and my computer logs off. I don't even get to see anything. The same thing happens in Safe Mode.

I would appreciate a lot of help. Thank you!

Boot up with the CD in the drive and let setup run.
The first "R" you come to is the Recovery Console. Select this
Just press enter for the password

At the Recovery Console command prompt type

expand D:\i386\userinit.ex_ C:\Windows\System32\userinit.exe
(where D is the CDROM drive)

neoark:

I tried what you told me and it didnt work.

I read the link that you posted and tried copying userinit.exe and wsaupdater.exe, but that didn't work either.

Also, I have a legal copy of Windows XP and it was activated around Feb of this year. I have Windows XP SP 3.

I followed a guide that my friend told me to follow, because he had the same problem long ago. I did so and had the computer running for 8 hrs with some scanner called search and destroy ( i think that's the name). When it finally finished, it said that it was only able to resolve 1 of two problems. Next and this happened really fast, it showed what it had eliminated, something like virtumonde or virtumondo. Finally, that cd included hijackthis and it started automatically after search and destroy and I was able to save the log here it is:

I used a Vista install cd to boot and then some cd called save155 to start search and destroy. I think this is why the log says at the beginning that my platform was windows vista. Also, I just want to get in to get all of my school work from the semester that just ended. I see that a lot of files are missing. I will format the computer after getting that, if I can. Last question, I got my sp3 copy from school, and it said that in could be used once, so does this mean that I have to buy another copy or is there a way to start again with the one that I already have?
