I am looking at a friends computer. This thing runs very very slow..It took from the time i turned it on to have some type of control 10 mins. When I clicked on explorer it took another 3 mins or so to even come up. so yesterday I ran a defragment, check disk for errors and removed some other items she doesn't need. The pc started to run faster. so i removed norton downloaded avg free 7.5. avg came up with nothing. I then removed avg and put her norton back on the pc things were still loading fastier than it was, Norton had to run full system scan it never finished I started the scan at 3pm yesterday. it came up with something called netrat said it can not remove and gave me a page explaining how to remove it. I went and followed the steps Its not where norton says it is cannot find this thing anywhere.thismorning come up to see what norton came up with the thing was still scanning. inorder to stop norton from scanning i had to shut pc down restart it took 20 mins before I could do anything. changes i made yesterday are back. i would say it takes about 3 mins before i see and program i click on and another few mins before i can do anything. So from yesterday to today this thing has got worse. So i didn't know if anyone could help me found out what is going on with this pc. I hate to say it but would it be best to wipe pc out and reload op? Also when i look at her drop bar on explorer some of the web address have numbers and symbols she said it wouldn't let her go to sites I know we can and it was changing it when she typed. It just seems like things keep changing on here thank you angeljam
