Malware Bytes found this and states is malicious, delete?

HKCUSOFTWAREMicrosoftWindowsCurrentVersionExplorerAdvancedStart_ShowSarch was found on my computer when I scanned with Malwarebytes. It says that it is a malicious software. Registry Data – Category Vendor PUM.Hijack.StartMenu. Should I delete this?

  1. No. A ‘PUM’ returned by Malwarebytes refers to ‘Potentially Unwanted Modifications’ – ie if you had been infected, one of the results may have been to change the search settings. But as you can also modify search settings your self, this is why Malwarebytes only flags it up. You can turn off PUM notifications within MWB options.
