The last couple days I have had commercials randomly playing on my speakers. It doesn't matter what site I'm on or what web browser I am using. I have run malwarebytes and spybot and the problem persists. I had another friend walk me through some other steps using search and entering %temp% and erasing files. Still the problem persists. Then we attempted to erase programs that did not come with the computer and still the problem persists. I am not very computer savvy and don't know what else to do. Please, someone, help!
Read somebody else having this. I think they called it routing.exe? I may be wrong but I think that's what it was.
Thanks everyone but I think it finally caused my laptop to crash. :( I just get a black screen. I can hit F2 and it takes me to setup utility but when I exit that screen I get a black screen.
if you have an Xp Home install CD you can try a repair install:
