Can anyone help, I have found that the cmos password has been set on my toshiba satellite 110CS. I have tried disconnecting the batteries but this has not worked is there a Bios jumper that needs to be removed or changed? if so any ideas where it is?

I was told because laptops are prone to theft there is a separate chip to store the password and removing the battery does not work. The chip does not require power to store info (non-volatile).

How do you access the operating system if you didn't know there was a password?

If this is a stolen laptop..........

I recommend to switch parallel port(it's not serial port as it's written there)
