Clicking search results cause popup

I've managed to download some sort of adware I think. Any time I click on any search results from a search engine (mostly google) it causes a random popup page to come up.
I've ran lavasoft's ad-aware and it found a number of browser hijacker's and I removed them, but that doesn't seemed to have helped.
