Hello,
A chat room for this site has been considered. The reason it was ultimately rejected was because chat rooms do not allow previously answered questions to become part of Computing.Net's "knowledge base." People would have to answer the same questions over and over without even having the option of refering users to previous posts.

It would be really nice to have a subject to ask about (any Software) like to ask for something like, can you direct me to a good Registry Cleaning Software for XP or good Photo Editing probgram that works well with xp, and get some of the users of these programs opinions, we do really need a site like that, I have looked at the Off Topic Forum and all I see is jokes and stuff, nothing serious, Where can you ask things like Where do you find good software for different uses without getting sites that pay for advertizement (so they get more stars) when what is important is users real opinions, would love a site like that? do you know any?
