Comment:

Last weekend, i woke up, switched on my comp and noticed my cd-rom was opening and closing all the time and was doing so irratically and at varying speeds as if it were controlled. I have tried scanning with norton antivirus 2001 and have norton personal firewall 2002 running. I formatted on fri and was still on after the full fresh format. I have just this minute done 2 online trojan scans and a full system scan and nothing. And help would be appreciated, Thanks.

No, don't think that is it. My comp is now giving my firewall this message:
Date: 23/06/2003 Time: 22:31:02
Rule "Default Block UPNP" stealthed ((xxx),ssdp(1900)). Details:
Inbound UDP packet
Local address,service is ((xxx),ssdp(1900))
Remote address,service is ((xxx),50019)
Process name is "C:\WINDOWS\System32\svchost.exe"

Explorer occasionally tries to access the net and firewall keeps asking me sometimes if i want a remore computer to be allowed access :'(. I'm sorry it's confusing, but u can imagine how i feel :( thanks very much.

Right, Sorted The port 1900 thing by disabling UPnP in services in admin. You are probably right about it being a joke one but any idea on what the file is called?
Any help appreciated,
thanks very much,

D/led the unplug and pray and it's still opening and closing by itself. Any idea what file is causing it? This is tedious for all of you i know, thanks.
