cd roms and viruses?

this is probably a stupid question but i need to know...if i have a virus on my computer and i put a cd or cd rom into my computer & then use it in a different computer will it infect it also? please respond, i need to know. i dont know much about viruses!

If you burn a file or program that has been infected by the virus, the answer is yes. The same thing for a floppy disk. That is why all cd's and floppies should be scanned using your antivirus software that come from another person's computer. All the best!
