do CAPITAL LETTERS in windows task manager mean that it is infected with a virus ?
The reason I am asking is when I installed xp pro and all my other pc drivers, everything is in small Letters( NO CAPITALS) when I view taskmanager processes , but then when I install all other required programs- like directx9, java, media player off my external drive, after re-boot those processes have all turned into capital letters. I have scanned both that external drive and XP for viruses , but AVG 8.5 found no infections. Why do those processes turn into CAPITAL LETTERS ? And does that mean that XP has been infected ?

The names in there are just the file names of the programs, if u search for the file u can change the name to whatever u want, so capitals don't matter. Otherwise if you have any doubt then you can scan your computer with super anti-spyware removal tools.
You can scan your computer in Safe Mode and you should also delete all temporary files and temporary internet files. Start > run >type temp > OK. Delete all files and folders. Start > run > type%temp% > OK and delete all files and folders. Now check.
