I recieved the ebay spoof mail and clicked on the link which didn't go anywhere, but since then I can't use ebay. It freezes or I can't type in any search boxes. My virus scan is up to date and finds nothing. Is this some type of worm?

Maybe worth checking.....have you scanned with Spybot and Adaware too? I'd say it's worth a try to see if you've picked up some spywares. Also, if you don't already have it, install SpywareBlaster - excellent for preventing junk from entering your computer. ~Tommyo

Try checking a file called Hosts (search for it). It should have a bit of text and a line that says "127.0.0.1 localhost" without the quotes. If there is a load of sitenames listed then delete all of them except 127.0.0.1 localhost

I found the hosts file and removed all but the local host number. It seemed to help. I'll try the spyblaster also to make sure nothing else gets put on. Thanks so much for all your help.
