Hello everyone,I have an issue with my computer.I recently visited a gaming site and my computer froze and alot of windows popped up so I quicky turned off my computer and restarted it,when my computer was back up and running I tried to run avg but got a message saying "windows cannot access the specified device, path,or file.you may not have the appropriate permissions to access that item.

So afterwards I tried combofix, malwarebytes, hijackthis, and ad-ware but I get the same message or they start up and shut down a few seconds afterwards.

I been looking up the forums and other sites to find solutions with no luck, they told me in another forum to try super antispyware which was running great it had found about 8 trogans and other malware items but after i restarted the computer for quarantine to take affect i got an error and now i cant even open the program anymore getting the same message i do when i try to attempt to open the other antivirus programs.

from what I have researched this may be something called rogue antivirus remover 2009 or something like that.

other symptoms are sites getting redirected, slower performance, and im unable to do a system restore or run the antiviruses in safe mode.

Is there anything else anybody suggests?any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I am having the exact same problem. I used just AVG anti virus and it said it removes all the viruses, yet the symptoms of the viruses just keep getting more severe.

Camaro89, try installing Avast Free
http://www.filehippo.com/download_a...
and let it do a bootscan on reboot. Move the problems it finds to the chest. DON'T move anything from the registry, google the results to see if it is safe to do so or post the problem files in your next post.

It won't hurt to run trojan remover and delete all it finds:

Some HELP in posting on Computing.net plus free progs and instructions Cheers

You can also try one of the online virus removers like Trendmicro . They run thru the browser and it may let you run those as they work differently than one that is actually loaded on your machine.

Hi,

Most probably your system will be having registry problems. You should Try out with a registry cleaner. If it doesn't work,That means your system has been affected by malware. Then you should try out antimalware software. By help of this software you can quarantine them in safe mode.

Eliminate Spyware
