I read about how you helped adnohr114 with removal of this trojan. It is actually preventing me from accessing the internet although I can still reach my wireless router. I haave run a hijackthis log. If anyone can assist, I would appreciate the help.

Please post your Hijack This log please.
Please download SmitRemFix from this link http://siri.urz.free.fr/Fix/Smitfra... Then extract the contents to your desktop.
!!!! Only run option #1 as runing the other options on an uninfected computer will damage the desktop.!!!!
Open the "SmitfraudFix" folder and double-click "smitfraudfix.cmd"
Select option #1 - Search by typing 1 and press "Enter"; a text file will appear, which lists infected files (if present).
Please copy/paste the content of that report into your next reply.
Note : process.exe is detected by some antivirus programs (AntiVir, Dr.Web, Kaspersky) as a "RiskTool"; it is not a virus, but a program used to stop system processes. Antivirus programs cannot distinguish between "good" and "malicious" use of such programs, therefore they may alert the user. Please download ATF-Cleaner to your desktop from this link
http://www.atribune.org/content/view/19/2/ We will need it later in safe modeDownload and install AVG Anti-Spyware We will need this later in safe mode
Be sure to update AVG Anti- Spyware

jabuck: thank you for getting back to me. Here is the Hijack this log:

Disable Norton AntiVirus Script Blocking
1 Start Norton AntiVirus.
If Norton AntiVirus is installed as part of Norton SystemWorks or Norton Internet Security, then start that program.
2 Click Options.
If you see a menu, click Norton AntiVirus.
3 In the left pane, click Script Blocking.
4 In the right pane, uncheck Enable Script Blocking (recommended).
5 Click OK.Disable Spyware doctor's OnGuard.
From within Spyware Doctor, click the "OnGuard" button on the left side.
Uncheck "Activate OnGuard".Run The Smitremfix option once again and post the results.
Empty the restore folder. Go to start>control panel>system>system restore tab>check the box beside "turn off system restore>apply (takes a minute)>ok. Go back and uncheck the box to turn system restore back on>apply>ok.
Run ATF-Cleaner from normal mode mode.Double-click ATF-Cleaner.exe to run the program.
Under Main choose: Select All
Click the Empty Selected button. Please download Dr Web CureIt to your desktop from this link ftp://ftp.drweb.com/pub/drweb/cureit/drweb-cureit.exe
Doubleclick the drweb-cureit.exe file and Allow to run the express scan.
This will scan the files currently running in memory and when something is found, click the yes button when it asks you if you want to cure it.
This is only a short scan.
Once the short scan has finished, mark the drives that you want to scan.
Select all drives.
A red dot shows which drives have been chosen.
Click the green arrow at the right, and the scan will start.
Click 'Yes to all' if it asks if you want to cure/move the file.
When the scan has finished, look if you can click next icon next to the files found:
If so, click it and then click the next icon right below and select Move incurable.
This will move it to the %userprofile%\DoctorWeb\quarantaine-folder if it can't be cured. (this in case if we need samples)
After selecting, in the Dr.Web CureIt menu on top, click file and choose save report list
Save the report to your desktop. The report will be called DrWeb.csv
Close Dr.Web Cureit.
Reboot your computer!! Because it could be possible that files in use will be moved/deleted during reboot.
After reboot, post the contents of the log on your desktop.

I re-ran SmitFraudfix - I do not find a file called Smitremfix in the folder that I extracted. Here is the log:

Still need to remove this with Hijack This:
O16 - DPF: {74D05D43-3236-11D4-BDCD-00C04F9A3B61} (HouseCall Control) - http://a840.g.akamai.net/7/840/537
I don't see anything else in the logs.
Are you still having problems?

I am still not able to get to the internet. AVG found another case of the trojan, which leads me to believe that they are still able to access and plant the program. I was going to start all over and run through your intructions from start to finish without interruption. What do you think?
