you are in big trouble if you don't know anything at all about your PC.
Far more info needed, OS, etc.

Just in case, OS = Your Windows system (XP or whatever).
Your IE version would be useful too (from IE Help/About).
IE Repair might be an option but the procedure varies with OS.
