I bought a new laptop yesterday with Norton 360 gold. How do I install it with no optical drive please
You bought a new laptop which has no optical drive? I don't know of any new laptops which don't have one. Are you sure it isn't a Netbook you bought? (they don't have an optical drive). The only way to install the Norton CD is to copy the entire CD content to a pen drive (1GB capacity or more) using a PC which has an optical drive, then plug the pen drive into your netbook and run the Norton 360 setup file.
Alternatively, take the Norton CD back (unopened) for a refund, then pay for a downloadable copy of Norton 360 online direct from Symantec: http://www.symantec.com/index.jsp

If it came with a trial (which I'm sure it did) then you can just activate it on-line. If it is a trial, I would suggest you just uninstall it and use a freebie like Avast free:

It should be more than adequate for your laptop as far as protection goes...If you bought the Norton CD from the same shop as the laptop, I would suggest not to open it and take it back for a refund...

If you got the disk as part of an offer then don't bother paying for a downloadable version as it will be more expensive direct from Norton. Simply download the trial version from http://uk.norton.com/downloads-tria... use it for free for 30 days and then activate it using the key in the cd case. I'm guessing the OP has purchased an ultrabook, rather than a netbook, same issue with no optical drive, but the rest of the hardware is decent.
